My dear readers, followers, cheerleaders and community....I hope this weeks post finds you well! I must admit that I'm a little disappointed that I missed last week's blog post. As much as I love sharing my thoughts and experiences with you all, life sometimes throws us into a whirlwind of responsibilities and priorities. But amidst the chaos, I've learned an important lesson – celebrating the small wins can be the guiding light that gets us through even the toughest days.
Last week was a perfect example of life's juggling act. I found myself wearing multiple hats, each one demanding my attention and energy. From managing my professional commitments to my personal life, it felt like a never-ending marathon. However, one particular event made it all worthwhile – organising and facilitating a brand photo shoot with my beautiful community of women, the women who I admire and have had the absolute pleasure to connect with over recent years in ways I never envisaged, there is real strength and commitment in a community of women and when you find yours something special happens.
This photo shoot was more than just capturing moments; it was a celebration of womanhood, motherhood, and the strength we find in supporting one another. You see, my journey to motherhood has been anything but easy as you all know. Being on an IVF journey has been emotionally taxing, and there have been moments when I questioned my resilience and strength.
Yet, as I stood there surrounded by these incredible women, all of whom have their unique stories and struggles, I was reminded that I am not alone. Their support and encouragement have been my lifeline during some of the darkest days. They've taught me that sometimes, it's okay to lean on others and seek their support.
Life's journey is filled with highs and lows, and it's easy to get caught up in what we haven't achieved. But in that moment, during the photo shoot, I realised that I needed to focus on the small wins – those little victories that often go unnoticed but are crucial to our growth and happiness.
I've come to understand that celebrating the small wins isn't just about patting ourselves on the back; it's about acknowledging the progress we've made, no matter how small it may seem. It's about recognising that even on the toughest days, we've taken steps forward, and that, my friends, is worth celebrating.
Motherhood and the IVF journey have taught me resilience, patience, and the power of community. It's a journey that requires a tribe of cheerleaders, people who are there through thick and thin, supporting us unconditionally. I am fortunate to have found that tribe among the women I surround myself with, and whilst none of them have been on that same journey themselves it doesn't matter, they get me, they support me, and they are there for me as I am for them.
As we go through life's juggling act, it's essential to remember that it's okay to prioritise certain things over others. We can't do it all, and that's perfectly fine. What matters is that we stay true to ourselves, our passions, and the values that guide us.
So, while I may have missed last week's blog post, I'm choosing to celebrate the fact that I was able to organise a beautiful photo shoot, strengthen the bonds with my community of women, and remind myself of the incredible journey I am on.
Thank you to every single one of you who showed up last Friday, for those of you who show up every day not only for me, but for yourselves and for being a part of this journey with me. Your support and understanding mean the world to me, its what Rain 2 Rainbow is all about, its my vision. Let's continue celebrating the small wins and embracing life's juggling act, one day at a time.
With love and gratitude to you all xxx
